This article explains how to add text formatting to a question/as an answer option while scripting your survey. This will help emphasise certain aspects of questions/answers which will clarify what is being asked and therefore, lead to better data. 


1. Adding text formatting to the question


This will allow you to put a word in bold, italics and also underline and strikethrough the word. To add this, type the word and simply highlight/double click on the word and the options will appear above. 



To remove an element of text formatting, simply highlight/double click on the word again and click on the type of formatting you would like to remove. 


2. Adding text formatting as an option 


If you would like certain options to include text formatting simply repeat the steps mentioned above - highlight/double-click the text and choose your formatting. 



To remove, highlight/double-click text again and click the formatting you wish to remove.
